Dress Code

In order to maintain the dignity of Chartwell Golf and Country Club, the club requires all members and guests to dress in appropriate attire while inside the clubhouse. This is our clubhouse dress code, which applies to all areas inside the clubhouse, including dining

Appropriate Casual Attire
Appropriate casual attire for members and guests includes the following:

Gentleman, Young Men, and Boys ages 12 and over:
• Golf approved Bermuda length shorts.
• Golf approved dress slacks or khakis.
• Fashionable denim pants.
• Collared or mock turtleneck golf shirt with shirt tail tucked into pants.
• Hawaiian, Guayabera, or Tommy Bahama style shirt untucked as fashionably required.
• Fashionable golf attire.
• Fashionable tennis attire is allowed prior to 5:00 p.m. in the dining room and all times in the bar area. Men
wearing tennis outfits must wear jacketed warm-ups or cover-up clothing in bar after 5:00 p.m.

Ladies, Young Ladies, and Girls ages 12 and over:
• Fashionable slacks, Bermuda length shorts, dresses, skirts, and skorts tailored for golf are permitted in the
clubhouse at any time of the year.
• Fashionable golf attire.
• Fashionable denim pants.
• Fashionable tennis attire is allowed prior to 5:00 p.m. in the dining room and all times in the bar area. Ladies
wearing tennis outfits must wear jacketed warm-ups or cover-up clothing in bar after 5:00 p.m.

UNACCEPTABLE ATTIRE
• Torn or ripped attire of any kind.
• Swimwear.
• Short shorts, sporting (basketball) shorts, or cut-offs.
• T-shirts, tops showing midriff, hooded sweat shirts, yoga style pants, or sweat suits.
• Hats or visors.
• Military-pocket Cargo shorts or pants, and pants without hems.

Members and Guests that have undertaken a sporting activity shall utilize the Men’s and Ladies Locker Rooms to freshen up prior to entering the dining and bar area. This will include changing into proper attire.

Cell Phone Policy

Cell Phones are to be kept on silent mode while on Chartwell Golf and Country Club property. No calls should be made or received in the Pub, Dining Rooms, Grille, Ballroom, Private Dining Rooms, Locker Rooms or Practice area. Cell Phone use of any kind are forbidden in all Locker rooms and bathrooms. A designated Cell Phone area is located outside the locker rooms by the Golf Cart staging area. No cell phones should be used on the golf course without permission of all playing partners. In no instance shall a telephone conversation slow the speed of play.
